Volunteer Spotlight: Thank you Amanda Easter!


If you’ve met Amanda Easter once, you’ll probably never forget her. The 5-foot-2 red-headed ball of energy and pizazz is equal parts bubbly and business.

Amanda has been creating compelling marketing and design work for over 20 years. For the last 10 years, she has owned and operated Inside Out Creative, an advertising agency in South Hills, offering marketing strategy, communications, digital services and branding.

Amanda is incredibly focused and purpose-driven. She would be the first to tell you her strength and ability comes from her faith. The Easters (including Amanda, her husband and business partner, Jeff, and their daughter, Lauren) are proud members of Bible Center Church. Amanda enjoys serving on their Women’s Ministry Team and uses her creative talents to market events, offerings and outreach.

Amanda volunteers a considerable amount of her time with Girls Night Out, the summer party that raises funds for YWCA Charleston’s domestic violence shelter. Beginning in 2009, Inside Out Creative began providing the marketing support the growing event needed. She was hooked after seeing the direct impact of her work.

“I toured the shelter with a few other volunteers – and WOW! – it touched me to see how the funds raised from our past events were put to use. Hearing stories that were shared by the staff of how lives are being changed due to the YWCA Resolve shelter and its programs fed my energy to do more,” she shared.

Since Amanda became involved, the event has more than doubled its revenue and has received national recognition as a Southeast Tourism Society "Top 20" event. Today, Girls Night Out raises nearly 20% of the annual operating budget for the YWCA Resolve Family Abuse Program, which serves victims of domestic violence and their children in Kanawha, Clay, and Boone counties in West Virginia, numbering 2,271 in the last year alone.

This growth is in large part due to Amanda's creativity, superb work ethic and dedication to the cause of eliminating domestic violence.
